What should you wear for your maternity session? Maternity dress (gown)? Jeans and a fun top? Maxi dress? There are so many choices and options, it really depends on the look you are going for and where you’ll be doing your session.
Some options you might have at home:
Bra/panties, kimono (sheer or patterned), sweater with undies, robe, hubby’s shirt, just a sheet, maxi dress, fitted maternity dress that you feel good in, jeans and a fun top (non-maternity jeans are best if you plan on showing belly)
Or, make it easy on yourself and borrow one of our maternity dresses! We have lots of options in varying sizes, colors and styles. We’ll meet you for a dress fitting before your session so you can be sure you like the one you choose (and have enough time to match family outfits). Check out our maternity gallery for to see some our dresses in use. We work directly with many of the dress suppliers and are happy to help you custom order something special! If you plan on having something custom made, be sure to give yourself 4-6 weeks for it to arrive. These look amazing on an actual belly! Many can also be used for your newborn session as well.
